L'AMOUR

Ah love, it is a universal language, is it not?

We all want to be loved. but why then when I say "I LOVE YOU", do you immediately have a need to identify, label, catagorize, compartmentalize, and analyze it?

Why can't you just let yourself feel it and enjoy it?

Love is love.

Look, we're all human; we all make mistakes, we all beat ourselves up over the bad decisions we have made in our lives, we all have regrets and wish we had a chance at a do-over in certain areas and circumstances. But ease up on yourself a bit, pump the brakes once in a while to make sure they still work if you must, otherwise dude, just enjoy the momentum of life.

Why is it easier to forgive others at times but not so easy with ourselves? We are all learning as we go, we have to be patient and understanding and yes, a little bit more loving toward ourselves. If you can't love yourself first and foremost, how can you be open and receptive to someone else's offering, someone's cup of love?

Hey it took me the better part of 55 years to figure this out for myself, but trust me, once you get to this 'state of being' in your life, it's amazing and beautiful and everything else rather pales in comparison.

Yup, I still say the whole 'hippie movement' was onto something...but that's for another post.

As for my own 'cup of love', I am very fortunate that it is overflowing...you thirsty?
