They're baaaack! Though I did not see their V-formation, I heard a gaggle of geese while I was making my cup of coffee this morning. And last week I heard my loon calling to his mate, who replied to guide him back to their nest at the lake near what's left of the pine plantation behind my home. They feel so familiar to me, both warming my heart and filling it with joy when I hear them. I guess they're calling me home where I feel most like myself, where I am happiest.
Being a 'summer girl' this TV commercial appeals to that feeling of finding a bit of yourself when you're out in nature. Except in the wintertime, I don't 'do' winters so well anymore (I really should be a snowbird). I mean I love Spring and Fall, but Summer is my jam.
It's not hard to see how most wish to escape the 'rat race' from time to time. In fact, I believe it's essential to maintaining that important balance in life.
I feel so grounded when I'm outdoors; when I can feel the sun on my face, the wind in my hair, the grass beneath my feet, or the sand between my toes...it just feels right.
